Weekly Pureland Service

Amida Sheffield meets weekly, usually on a monday evening. People are invited to arrive at 5.45 p.m. All are welcome to join us. There is a service at 6.00 pm. This is usually about an hour long and is an adapted from the Amida-shu Nien Fo service book, and includes chanting, sitting and walking nembutsu.

The atmosphere is informal and friendly!

If you are interested in coming along, please give Mike or Gina a call on 0114 2724290 or email amidasheffieldatblueyonderdotcodotuk for more details.

Guided Meditation for Busy People

Amida Sheffield offers a weekly lunchtime meditation at the Sheffield Anglican Cathedral. Sundari and Bhaktika have been joined by Mary Dight from the cathedral and take it in turn to guide the weekly 30 minute meditation. This will be held at 1 pm every monday except for Bank Holidays. No previous experience is required. The facilitators are happy to be approached at the end of the period for advice about setting up a meditation practice.

Friday morning meditation

On Fridays at 8.15 a.m. we have a silent half hour of meditation. All are welcome. Please phone or email (as above) in advance to check that we will be here.
